Saba Quizilbash (MA 2004) Creates New Work

In her most recent work, Saba Quizilbash (2004), responds to issues of partition through aesthetic reconnection. In a recent email, Saba shares that the "Thar Express is a transborder train line that operates between one of the most hostile borders. It was discontinued for 41 years due to three wars fought between India and Pakistan. This line connects Karachi, PK to Jodhpur, IN. I have tried [in this work] to make the journey and connectivity easier through aesthetic solutions. I've also shifted key government buildings and consulates close to the train stations to make the visa process and travel more feasible".
