MA '17 Alumna Hired at LA Cultural Center

Colleen Andrews, who graduated in June with her MA in Art + Design Education, has been appointed as Director of Arts Education at the Angels Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro, California. Her work at the Center involves the development of partnerships between it and neighboring pubic schools to advance arts-based programming in schools. This position is such a great match for Colleen because the focus of her research investigation for her MA centered on matters surrounding the potential for impact of non-profit organizations on the art in public schools and which culminated in her thesis "Creating Access and Equity in Arts Education: Strategic Partnerships for Systemic Change."
