MAT '09 Alumna named Manager of Museum Education and Community Partnerships

Ifetayo Abdus-Salam (Ife), who graduated in 2009 from RISD's Department of Teaching + Learning in Art + Design with her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), has been appointed as Manager of Museum Education and Community Partnerships at the International Center of Photography in New York City. Founded by Cornell Capa in 1974 to preserve the legacy of “concerned photography”, The International Center of Photography (ICP) is the world’s leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture. In her new role at the ICP, Ife is responsible for overseeing on and off‐site Museum Education programs, managing long‐term Community Partnerships, and integrating innovative practices across all content. This position is an exciting transition for Ife, who prior to her RISD graduate degree received a BFA in Photography and Imaging from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Ife has taught at the International Center of Photography since 2009.
