Salima Hashami MA '90 awarded an honorary doctorate

Salima Hashami a renown Pakistani artist and RISD MA alumna who was awarded an honorary doctorate from Bath Spa University was featured recently in its alumni magazine. Salima who graduated from RISD in 1990 the same year that TLAD's Department Head Dr. Paul Sproll joined the faculty. An interesting set of coincidences surround both Salima and Dr. Sproll - both were trained in the UK at the Bath Academy of Art, Corsham , which would later become Bath Spa University. And additionally rather remarkably MA alumna Saba Qizilbash was a student of Salima's in Pakistan and was also a student of Dr. Sproll's at RISD - small world indeed!
