MA'14 Alum Hired by the City of Austin

Congratulations to Kameko Branchaud MA' 14 who is trading museum-based work to join the City of Austin, Texas as a Cultural Funding Specialist. Kameko will be working on a small team within the City's Division of Economic Development that manages 500+ arts contracts per year. The City as a whole is also working on developing and implementing better inclusion and access processes, and Kameko is looking forward to be a part of that important work. So, while she agrees her new role is somewhat further away from her prior experience in museum education, it does connect very directly to her RISD MA degree and its focus on Community Arts Education. Kameko is excited at the opportunity this position provides to have a direct influence on cultural equity within the City of Austin.
